Storm Havoc in Kedah and Penang

Strong winds blew off the roofs of more than 200 houses in three districts in Kedah and two in Penang as continuous rain since Monday evening caused havoc.

A Kedah Welfare Department spokesman said 180 houses in the Kota Setar district, 24 in Padang Terap and 19 in Kubang Pasu were affected by the storm.

In Baling, more than 1,000 people in 10 villages had to move to higher grounds due to floods since Monday night.

Also affected were 27 schools in the Kota Setar, Kubang Pasu, Padang Terap and Kuala Muda districts.

Well, it was raining heavily yesterday and more like a typhoon if you ask me. I 'battled' the rain and wind to get home. Not to mention, emergency brake to drivers who suddenly brake their car whenever they encountered rising water. Even though the rain had stop a few hours ago, the sky still look gloomy.

I am not complaining though. If it's raining, then let it be. I just need to stock up a bit just in case for flood. At home there's only carrots as veggie. I already felt like a rabbit.
